Inheriting Craftsmanship · A Tribute to Master Li Zhiqin
Every Lishi tool carries a name that most buyers never see: Li Zhiqin, the craftsman whose work shaped the 2-in-1 pick and decoder format. This is the short version of how that connection started.
2008: the first Beijing locksmith certification exam
In 2008 we took part in the Beijing Locksmith Certification Exam and photographed the session with Master Li Zhiqin. One of our co-founders served alongside Mr. Li as an examiner for the very first session of Beijing's official locksmith qualification assessment, overseeing the certification process and proctoring the exam.

That exam was a milestone in our journey, and it set the standard we still use when we evaluate a tool: it has to work in the hands of a working locksmith, not just on a spec sheet.

Charity through tools, 2012
In 2012 we launched the "Charity for Education" campaign, using our tools and our time to support students. It was not a certification of skill but a passing down of spirit and values — the same idea Master Li taught: rigorous technique, hands-on expertise and respect for the trade.

Why craftsmanship matters for buyers
A Lishi 2-in-1 tool is only useful if the decoder reads true and the pick does not distort under load. That is why we still test profiles against real locks and why we publish the keyway and cut count on every product page instead of vague marketing copy.
